Alice's embrace of Catholicism has always fascinated me. She often seems one-dimensional, but apparently was a much more complicated lady than is shown in contemporary writings.
Also, Four Saints in Three Acts seems a strange theme for G.S.--St. Teresa "When this you see remember me". How Eucharistic!
I wonder if the two ladies ever celebrated a Passover Seder? (Certainly not with Leo).
Passover and Easter Joy, You All,

Hans, Thanks for the historical overview. I'll be viewing Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" tonight, so this puts me in the mood!

Hans, Appropriate greeting for this year. However, I would urge all those who have Hans' old mailed cards to save them. I'm sure that they will become valuable collectors' items, but, of course, who would want to part with them!
Best Wishes to All

Congratulations on your 'New Arrival', Hans. What an achievement!
"All this and not ordinary, not unordered in not resembling. The difference is spreading." [from Gertie's Tender Buttons]
“When we read a story, we inhabit it. The covers of the book are like a roof and four walls. What is to happen next will take place within the four walls of the story. And this is possible because the story's voice makes everything its own.” [John Berger]
Can't wait to get a copy from the Sydney shop.

Good luck, Hans. It's relatively easy to set up an Amazon page to sell your book. My husband is a writer and sells one of his books (because we bought the entire inventory when the publisher went out of business) on Amazon. Amazon takes a small cut and sends a check periodically. Facebook is also a great way to let people know about the book.

Love the Basket portrait -- I'd not seen that before. I am on my second standard poodle -- incomparable dogs and the only breed possible for Gertrude Stein.
